Intent: To agree a new protocol for farm inspections between IFA and Local Authorities::To showcase the extensive measures being undertaken on farms to protect watercourses and enhance biodiversity, while producing high-quality food.::To set out an agreed set of principles for farm inspections.::To emphasise the need for an appropriate notice period in advance of any inspection.::To demonstrate to county councillors the level of work on water quality and biodiversity on farms and to ensure a much better understanding of how much progress is being made in these areas.
