Methods: To Roscommon County Councillors'Ref: Variations 'draft' proposed to the Monksland/Athlone West LAP 2016-2017 For the attention of elected members of Roscommon County Council Dear Sir, I have noted the recent Variation to the Monksland LAP, Variation No 1, I am aware that many LAPs are being modified facilitate the implementation of the relevant planning Acts. Clarification may be necessary of the definition of the underutilized vacant sites and buildings that would be subject to the Act. The future Residential development capacity of the Monksland Bellinamullia LAP has been reduced from cira 350 acres of residential to approximately 50 acres in the Recent 2016-2022 LAP, this suggests that the strategy of the residential development aligned to the LAP is contrary to national government policy. I would be obliged if you would include this correspondence/ forward same or include this in a submission to the forward Planning Department in relation to this Variation 1, - Submission
