Intent: Inclusion in the new building

Details: Lobbying for space in the new Social Enterprise Centre in Letterkenny

Intent: To put forward SSEs view on the Draft Donegal County Development Plan 2018 - 2024 and Environmental Report.::To highlight the need to support the development of clean energy, such as onshore wind to help deliver the CDP's strategic objective and outlined the significant economic contribution made by the wind energy sector.::Highlighted that the restrictions placed on wind development are disproportionate compared to other forms of development i.e setback distances which are considerably greater than those outlined in the Wind Energy Guidelines 2006.::SSE argued that the County Development Plans should reflect Government energy policy which was not forthcoming in the proposals::We noted and welcome the support of offshore wind development in Irish waters.

Intent: Ensuring these programmes are included in the budget for 2018.::Gaining an acknowledgment for the work of Letterkenny Chamber and their relationship with the Council.

Details: Presentation to the Letterkenny MD in Milford Public Services Centre regarding the work of Letterkenny Chamber specifically fro retail promotion strategy and Christmas Lighting.

Intent: Lands rezoned from Reserve Residential to Residential

Details: Meeting regarding zoning of lands at Carnamuggagh, Letterkenny, Donegal.

Intent: Calling on Donegal Councillors to ensure that the proposed increase in commercial rates of 5% is not put in place. While there has been some recovery in the trade in recent years 2017 was very challenging for the pub trade in Donegal primarily due to the loss of the British Tourist trade. If put in place jobs will be lost and some small businesses will close.

Intent: To have the lands zoned as Acceptable in Principle for Windfarm Development.

Details: Proposed zoning of my farm lands for windfarm development

Intent: To propose the scrapping Section 8 of this bill which would allow hedgecutting in August & burning in March will negatively impact breeding birds and other biodiversity. Comms also included detail on the impacts of burning on birds and other wildlife.

Intent: To maximise compliance with the UN CRPD.

Details: Submitted proposed amendments to the Disability (Miscellaneous Provisions) Bill 2016, the UN CRPD 'Triple lock' and the lived experience of people with disabilities in Ireland.

Intent: The inclusion in the 2018-2024 CDP of a 10 times wind turbine height setback distance between turbines and places of residence/congregation. .::The protection of the six river sub basins containing the freshwater pearl mussel (Eske, Clady, Leannan, Owenea, Owencarrow and Glaskeelin) from windfarm development.::The re-powering of existing wind farms without any further intrusion on new sites.
