Intent: As the first issue of the draft County Development Plan is pending review by the Elected Members, the Steering Group of Tralee Chamber would welcome the opportunity to engage with you and the relevant personnel from the Economic Development Unit specifically in relation to our submission requesting a Retail Strategy for Tralee.::The Retail sector plays a pivotal role in the employment and commercial base of Tralee, and in this context it is vital that a specific Retail Strategy is Developed just for Tralee and that its importance to the town is not watered down by being amalgamated solely into an overall country-wide retail plan.::We welcome the opportunity to engage and listen to what plans will be proposed in the County Development Plan in relation to infrastructure, public transport, and zoning development for Tralee in the context of the retail sector, and would welcome the opportunity to have some constructive dialogue on these key areas.

Intent: Our steering group are looking for an update on the progress of the Destination Town project as the work on the destination town is intrinsically linked to the next phases of the URDF funded works in Tralee town, design of which is advanced. We trust that this is the right time to engage and input. We would like to meet (online or in person) to get some updates and collaborate in particular in relation Key Criteria of the Destination Town as set out by Failte Ireland.
