Intent: An improvement in the wider Henry Street area to encompass O'Connell Street to Capel Street and Parnell Street to the Quays, in terms of reimagining the area to become a premier residential and retail area.

Details: Dublin City BID met with Dublin City Council regarding the development of Dublin One with particular focus on the development and improvement of the wider Henry Street area. Dublin City BID also gave a presentation on the Dublin One project to Dublin City Council's Central Area Committee.

Intent: For 18 months, the IGBC conducted a comprehensive consultation process across the country to co-design an ambitious national renovation strategy for Ireland - see www.buildupon.eu/ireland for further details. This led to the publication of a final set of recommendations in Feb. 2017 - http://buildupon.eu/wp-content/uploads/2015/09/IGBC-BUILD-Upon-Final-Web-24.02.17-1.pdf. Several meetings with politicians & senior civil servants took place to ensure these recommendations are taken into account.

Details: Ireland's National Renovation Strategy V.2 - Under the Energy Efficiency Directive (article 4), Ireland (DCCAE) is due to publish an updated version of its national renovation strategy by 30.04.2017.

Methods
All members of the Oireachtas Joint Committees on Communications, Climate Action and Environment and on Housing, Planning, Community and Local Government - Membership were invited to attend the launch of the final set of recommendations in Dublin on 23 February 2017. Intent: Over the last 18 months, the IGBC has built a community of over 170 key stakeholders to co-design an ambitious national renovation strategy for Ireland - required under art. 4 of the Energy Efficiency Directive. This work has been conducted as part of the H2020 funded Build Upon project (www.buildupon.eu/ireland). The aim of this action was to promote the recommendations developed as part of this process among key policy-makers.
