That the Irish food and drinks industry is dependent on Irish farmers as the primary producers; and::the animal health and welfare standards that Irish farmers must adhere to, in particular the standards and conditions contained within Bord Bia's sustainable Quality Assurance Scheme.This council notes with serious concern recent events and feels that there is no choice but ask the Chair of Bord Bia, to resign immediately in order to restore public confidence.::In the event that he fails to do so, this Council further calls on the Government and the Minister for Agriculture, Food, and the Marine to intervene without delay an
