After a YEP steering group meeting in November that Steve Fahy , Athy Youth Project Team Leader attended, Steve met with Mark Wall briefly in the corridor. Steve asked him if the Municipal District would meet with the local Comhairle na nOg youth group around funding for the Athy Youth Cafe. The Comhairle group emailed the Councillors to request a meeting.The Cathaoirleach Aoife Breslin replied and arranged a meeting in the project with herself and Mark Wall (although all Councillors were invited). This meeting took place on the 13th of December. We discussed the need for the financial support for the cafe, which the Councillors agreed was a good idea and arranged to present to the full Municipal District . Invitation was subsequently received to present at their 21st January meeting . - MeetingLetter sent by Tom Dunne KYS CEO on behalf of the KYS Board to Peter Minnock, Kildare County Council expressing interest in the library building in Naas on October 8th, followed by a phone conversation on November 19th. The library is planned to be relocated to a new location. No decisions have been made as to the potential future use of the building.
