Intent: Amendment sought to the category of registrable burdens to include GNI wayleaves created before date of first registration of the land in the Land Registry, due to safety risk arising (subsequent landowners & developers unaware of existence of gas pipeline on land) from the gap in the registration rules. GNI engaged with Tailte Eireann with a view to having the amendments including in DCEE's Gas (Safety) and Misc Provisions Bill 2024.::Emer Walsh and Ronan Galwey engaged with Fintan Towey by email on 19 December with a view to gaining his support to have the amendments included in DCEE's Gas (Safety) and Misc Provisions Bill 2024.
