Intent: Highlighted the key issues that the telco industry/Telecommunications Industry Ireland (TII) members have with both the DNA and CSA2. Pointed out the negative impacts these would have on the sector, and requested these be taken into consideration with a view to changing and improving the current drafts of both acts.::To make the telecoms and cybersecurity attaches aware of the issues industry are facing in relation to the DNA and CSA2 and to hear these directly from industry representatives during a discussion, so that they could be relayed back to legislators.
Details: Met with Counsellor Frank Gallagher and First Secretary Brendan Ring with an Ibec delegation to discuss the Digital Networks Act and Cyber Security Act 2.
