Intent: To outline HIH’s case for direct service delivery engagement with DCEDIY; to clarify the rationale behind the non-renewal of the SLA; and to ensure the Department had a clear understanding of HIH’s position in response to any misrepresentation or misunderstanding of the circumstances, including those that may have arisen from communications by the Irish Red Cross.

Details: Engagement with DCEDIY regarding the non-renewal of our Service Level Agreement (SLA) with the Irish Red Cross (IRC) and the future of service delivery arrangements for hosting Ukrainian refugees.

HIH contacted DCEDIY and the Department of an Taoiseach to explain the non-renewal of its SLA with the IRC, noting the agreement no longer aligned with current operations or compliance needs. The aim was to clarify HIH’s position, address any mischaracterisation of the situation, and emphasise the need for contractual clarity to ensure good governance, financial accountability, and compliance with DPER Circular 13/2014. - Email
