Intent: To review action points from the previous meeting and discuss progress of same.::To seek an update on the licencing plan for 2026.::To discuss Ash sites and how to manage them.::To highlight that the costs involved with clearing and planting Ash sites can exceed the amount of support offered.::To question if reforestation is included in the 50% broadleaf requirement, DAFM advised it isn't but will inform discussion with Commission for the next State Aid approval. Member advised the need to be mindful of not focusing all forest type in one area.::To advise the Department of Agriculture, Food, & the marine that the biggest disincentive to afforestation is the 65/35 rule for farmers entering afforestation.
