Intent: The Heat Pump Association of Ireland acceps the need to phase out F-gases, but urged MEPs to consider the implications of the proposed phase downs in terms of meeting Ireland's national targets on heat pump deployment. We therefore hoped to encourage MEPs to vote for proposals that enabled the industry to make an orderly transition away from F-gases, and avoiding a significant potential net increase in CO2 emissions that a new lease of life for the fossil fuel boiler market would bring.
