Intent: We need a permanent base for our disability group. We have bought a shell and core building through fundraising and now we are currently fundraising to fit it out to our special needs. We have raised €500k through fundraising but we are still circa €150k short of the cost of same. We are seeking Government support in the form of grants to see the project completed. Therefor we met with Minister McGrath and Cllr Tom O'Leary seeking information on any grants that we might be eligible to apply for

On 29th June we met with Finnian McGrath to tell him about our group and to seek information on any grants that might be available to help us with the fit-out costs for our shell and core building. On 21st July we met with Cllr. Tom O'Leary to seek his support in accessing any grants that might be available to help us with the cost of fit-out for our shell and core building.

Intent: As we currently have to fund raise to meet approximately 50% of our running costs we have embarked on a 2nd prong fundraising initiative to raise the much needed funds to allow us to fit our our new building to our needs. To this end we are seeking any and all assistance in raising the funds by applying for grants, seeking sponsorship and support from businesses and linking in with other groups with a view to them running fund raisers for us.

On 11 /7/16 we emailed Brendan Ryan seeking information on the sports grant which was granted to us. On 22/7/16 we met the following in Millfield Shopping Centre at a Community Expo. Brendan Ryan – we asked him about the sports grant. Darragh Butler – we told him about our group and sought his support. Darragh O’Brien – we asked him for an introduction to the head of One4All. 8/8/16 we met Tony Murphy seeking a meeting with Finnian McGrath. 22/8/16 we met Louise O’Reilly to seek her support.
