Officials from Kildare county council asked to meet the combined residents group in relation to the proposed Gallops Avenue. Th eofficials expressed a desire to develop the road in a manner that woulld minimise the impact on residents. The reidents took the opportunity to express our opposition to the route and emphasise the need for an outer orbital route to the east of Naas Racecourse.This activity was initiated by Kildare County Council rather than the residents group but is included in the lobbying return for completeness

Naas Municipal Distric Councillors were asked for their support to remove the Gallops Avenue proposal from the Draft Naas Local Area Plan. They were also asked to object to a boundary extension in the plan as it could allow the full Kildare county countil to vote on issues that pertain to Naas only.
