On 19th Sept Minister Finian McGrath launched the Irish Sign Language Awareness week to promote Irish Sign Language (ISL) nationally. on 28th Sept Caoimhg Caolain chaired the Joint Committee on Justice and Equality on ISL and published report on 13th October. On 19th October the ISL Recogniton Bill was passed at 2nd Stage of Seanad with no objection from the Governement. Dail Debate on ISL was made on 10th November.
