Intent: That the Irish Coast Guard and the IAA apply all rules and regulations regarding FTL's and EU Working Time Directives for search and rescue pilots

Intent: IALPA received replies on the correspondence submitted in the last period regarding STF and it's reduction in 2014. Since then the STF has not increased in line with the inflation.

Intent: IALPA discusses the importance of the STF increase with Mr Kevin Barrett, Special Adviser to the Minister for Finance via zoom meeting on 20th November 2023.

Intent: IALPA acknowledged that the 2024 budget did not include the desired STF increase by 20% this time and requested a meeting with the Minister of Finance Michael McGrath and his officials to discuss the importance of this proposal.

Intent: IALPA advised about STF and its reduction in 2014. Since then the STF has not increased in line with the inflation. Currently many pension schemes stop contributions when the fund reaches €2 million. IALPA is requesting that the current threshold is increased by 20% to benefit a significant number or people such as small business owners, doctors and other middle-income earners.

Intent: IALPA Executive Council discussed the STF with the Senator Regina Doherty and seek a representation to further the request of increasing the current threshold by 20%.

Intent: IALPA acknowledged that the Council of Ministers (Transport) will discuss 'Fatigue among Pilots' topic. Currently, the EASA does not recognise the safety concern. IALPA asks the Ministers to approach the Commission and EASA to take actions to stop the fear culture in European Aviation. IALPA also suggests establishing anti-harassment procedures where EASA defends the core safety values and consider bogus self-employment as a safety risk.

Intent: To advise that IALPA has served industrial action on Emerald airlines due to failure of Emerald Airlines to hold any discussions with IALPA. IALPA was requesting that Emerald Airlines engage in meaningful talks with aim to negotiate a collective agreement for pilots.
