In advance of the Energy Ministers Council on 16 March, EAI urge that Ireland does not support any proposal that undermines the marginal pricing framework. EAI believe Ireland should advocate instead for stability in marketdesign and a focus on structural measures to reduce costs.

It is a missed opportunity to target energy credits at those who most need it in the future and contrary to the Programme for Government, which commits to exploring inclusive support for all households, particularly for vulnerable groups.
