Intent: 1. County Councils should be enabled and encouraged to allocate 50% of funding made available to support suitable “shovel ready” sites that offer public parking to have EV chargers installed. 2. ESBN should be empowered and advised to ensure that any charger being deployed can be supported with a standalone battery back-up. This will reduce pressure on the already stressed grid.
